The weather was forecast to be overcast and coolish (19 C) so JP and I headed into the shed at 8.30am to paint the two pack primer which in the past has been a bit of a nightmare in hot weather as it drys so quickly. We got straight on with it and did all the cutting in with small brushes and then went for the rollers after a cup of tea with no cake. JP did have to make a trip to Thorntons for roller heads which proved unreliable in this tacky paint and started to disintegrate. We went back to one roller with the last of the heads that came with the kit. We listened to an incredible podcast on British Scandal – The Canoe Con which took our minds away from the uncomfortable masks we were wearing and muscle aches from leaning into the boat. Despite the warmer than expected weather by 1.30 we had finished.

Primer finished for the day.

Cheers Dave
