February 2023, the Franklin Living Boat Trust organised a Raid for oar and sail boats which started at Cockle Creek in the southern most part of Tasmania and covered over 200km to arrive 10 days later in Hobart with the parade of sail that opens the Australian Wooden Boat Festival. Denmark Rowers Dave Cliff and Peter Kovesi sailed in the event with Stef and were amazed by how well the St Ayles Skiff coxed by Sally Ward performed in sometimes challenging conditions. Three whale boats and a two person rowing boat also completed the trip.
