Friday 7th October

JP and I were joined by Chris W and we started by giving boat 1 a rub down with wet and dry to key in the second coat.

Chris sanding the rudder for its second coat.

JP got the subtle hint that I might prefer to do the final coat by myself. I only hope he wasn’t too upset deep down by this. On the surface he took it well and joined Chris sanding the inside of boat 2.

Sanding, vacuuming, repeat.

This Norglass single pack Weatherfast paint goes on a treat. Its quite thick and you have to work it to spread it evenly then if you lay it off with light brush strokes first across the plank and then a very light single direction along the plank it flows nicely into a gloss finish.

Concentration!
The lonely painter!

After the others had left and I was still going into the afternoon, Dan the welder dropped in to do his final measurements for the trailers which he will be working on this weekend.

I also had a call from Harry who had made it to Orange and gave me an update on how few livestock or kangaroos he had seen on his trip and how the canola was growing out of the paddocks with all the rain they have had over there.

Have a great weekend.

Cheers Dave.
