21 February 2022

A small crew of myself, Mark H, and Ian O turned up today and Harry was on hand to share some of his wood collection for stabilising our long plank layout bench. Mark set up a couple of vertical legs at the ends while I insisted on a diagonal shelf prop in the centre where most of the glueing work will occur. We also put up a couple of 45X90mm rails to hang the clamps on. Then I was able to clean up and sort out where most things are going to live. The heat of the sun through the Alsynite roof panels is quite intense and so the darkest / coolest corner was chosen for the epoxy glue kit. The Association’s banner got pride of place at the end of the shed and the flow chart of the building steps is now on display.

It’s all neat and tidy for an early committee meeting tomorrow morning followed by a session that includes the High School students levelling the frame and fixing it to the floor.

I was able to confirm that the kits have arrived in Perth and should be with Denmark Haulage today or tomorrow for delivery this week.
