I had picked up JP’s sander and vacuum cleaner on the way in and started by giving the white primer a quick light sand to create a key for the gloss paint. Geoff B dropped in and Harry at tea time before I started painting and later Harry’s cousin, John, visited the shed. The Norglass paint really does spread easily and gives a great coverage. I could be tempted not to do a second coat but I know it will look better for longer if I do. I hadn’t finished at 12.45pm when I had to leave to go to my first committee meeting at the Riverside Club. I got back at close to 2pm to finish the job and clean up and then shoot off to the beach for a cooling body surf.

Cream on the top 4 planks leaving the bottom 2 for deck paint.

All done in the sun.

Cheers Dave.

Monday 9th January 2023 Just me today plodding on with the painting of the inside of the second St Ayles Skiff.
